Achille Bonito Oliva
Achille Bonito Oliva is an Italian art critic and historian who has taught the history of contemporary art at the University of Rome La Sapienza since 1968. He is known for originating the term Transavanguardia to describe a shift in late 1970s art and served as the artistic director of the 1993 Biennale di Venezia. Throughout his career, he has authored extensive writings on contemporary artists and curated numerous international art exhibitions.
