Arthur Evans

Arthur Scott Evans was an author and early advocate for gay rights. He was politically active in New York City during the 1960s and early 1970s before moving to Washington state and later San Francisco. His written works include the 1978 book Witchcraft and the Gay Counterculture and the 1997 publication Critique of Patriarchal Reason. In his later years, he continued his work as an academic and translator.
