Dorothee Metlitzki

Dorothee Metlitzki was a Russian-born American academic and philologist who specialized in medieval English literature and history. She served as a professor of English at the University of California, Berkeley, and spent the majority of her career at Yale University. Her scholarly work also encompassed the study of Arabic language and literature, as well as the writings of Herman Melville.
