Elizabeth Cropper

Elizabeth Cropper is a British-born art historian specializing in Italian and French Renaissance and Baroque art and literature. She served as the Dean of the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts at the National Gallery of Art from 2000 to 2020. Previously, she held positions as a Professor of Art History at Johns Hopkins University and as the director of the Charles S. Singleton Center for Italian Studies in Florence.
