George Plimpton

George Ames Plimpton was an American writer, journalist, editor, and actor. He is best known for his participatory journalism, where he documented his experiences as an amateur in professional sports and performance arts. A co-founder of The Paris Review, Plimpton also worked as a screenwriter and university teacher throughout his career.
