George R R Martin

George R. R. Martin is an American author, screenwriter, and television producer born in 1948. He is best known for his epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, which served as the basis for the television series Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. Beyond his novels, Martin has contributed to the Wild Cards anthology series and provided worldbuilding for the video game Elden Ring.
