Jack M. Sasson
Jack M. Sasson is an American scholar and the Mary Jane Werthan Professor of Jewish Studies and Hebrew Bible, Emeritus, at Vanderbilt Divinity School. His academic career includes a long tenure at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. A specialist in Assyriology and Hebrew Scriptures, his research focuses on biblical studies and the interpretation of eighteenth-century BC archives discovered at Mari, Syria.
