Jaune Quick-to-See Smith

Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (1940–2025) was a Native American painter, printmaker, and curator of Salish, Kootenai, Métis, and Shoshone descent. Over a five-decade career, she produced prolific work that explores American Indian identity, historical oppression, and environmental themes. Her practice, which spans figurative and abstract styles, has been featured in more than 50 solo exhibitions.
