Jean D'ormesson

Jean d'Ormesson was a prominent French novelist and writer who authored forty books throughout his career. Elected to the Académie Française in 1973, he served as its dean until his death in 2017. He also held leadership roles as the director of Le Figaro from 1974 to 1977 and as president of the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences at UNESCO from 1992 to 1997.
