Kingsley Amis
Sir Kingsley Amis was an English novelist, poet, critic, and teacher who produced an extensive body of work including over 20 novels, six poetry volumes, and various scripts. He is best known for his satirical comedies, such as Lucky Jim, One Fat Englishman, and The Old Devils. Knighted in 1990, Amis was a prominent literary figure throughout the second half of the twentieth century and the father of novelist Martin Amis.
