Mary Lee Bendolph

Mary Lee Bendolph is an American quilt maker and member of the Gee's Bend Collective in Boykin, Alabama. Born in 1935, she is known for incorporating fabric from used clothing into her work to honor the history of the materials. Her quilts have been featured in major institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
