Nadine Gordimer

Nadine Gordimer was a South African writer and political activist whose work focused on moral and racial issues, particularly the impact of apartheid. A Nobel Prize in Literature laureate, she also received the Booker Prize for The Conservationist. Her writing, which included novels such as Burger's Daughter, often challenged the political climate of her home country, leading to the banning of several of her works under the apartheid regime.
