Nancy S. Steinhardt

Nancy S. Steinhardt is an American historian specializing in Chinese architecture. After earning her PhD from Harvard University in 1981, she joined the University of Pennsylvania faculty in 1983 and later became a curator at the Penn Museum. Her extensive research and scholarship, including the award-winning China: An Architectural History, have established her as a prominent figure in the study of Asian art and architecture.
