Sebastian Haffner

Sebastian Haffner, born Raimund Pretzel, was a German journalist, historian, and writer. During his time as an émigré in Britain, he advocated for the restoration of Germany as a network of smaller states. Known for his independent and provocative style, Haffner contributed to the anti-fascist rhetoric of the student New Left and played a notable role in the 1962 Spiegel affair.
