Tarana Burke
Tarana Burke is an American activist based in New York City who founded the Me Too movement in 2006. Originally developed as a youth program to address sexual violence within local communities, the initiative gained international prominence in 2017. Following the viral spread of the #MeToo hashtag, the movement evolved into a global platform for survivors of abuse and harassment.
